Our stay at the Coach and Horses had its ups and downs. The rooms were spacious and clean, perfect for our dogs, but the drifting smell of smoke was a real downside, leading to a disappointing stay. The friendly service and dog-friendly attitude were positives, yet the breakfast left much to be desired. Overall, a mixed experience at a somewhat pricey rate.

The rooms were very spacious and clean, very accommodating for the dogs. Loved the doggy package provided in the room.
Service

The staff, including a lady I assumed to be the owner, were very friendly and accommodating.
Location

The location was quiet, away from the bustling Dorchester area, providing a dark and peaceful setting. The establishment showed great dedication and effort in its decor and atmosphere.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast between 8 am and 9.30 was subpar, with cold toast and overcooked bacon. The meal didn't meet expectations.
Facilities

The Coach and Horses has improved its spaces, with lots of pub memorabilia and a good amount of room to enjoy. However, the dining area could use some sprucing up.

The hotel is nestled in a beautiful part of Dorset, making it an ideal base to explore stunning beaches like Lulworth and Durdle Door. The rooms are spacious and welcoming, although access might not suit everyone. The service, while friendly, lacked a professional touch. The dining experience had its highs and lows. The location is amazing, offering great value for the price.

The service, although friendly, did not come across as professional. The housekeeping and welcome drink were nice touches.

The hotel is situated in a beautiful part of Dorset, close to lovely beaches at Lulworth and Durdle Door. While a bit out of the way from bustling Dorchester, it offers an ideal location to explore the surrounding area.
Dining

The dining experience was a mix; from possibly the best scrambled eggs to possibly the worst overall meal. The full English breakfast was worth the short wait, served between 8 am and 9.30.
Facilities

The facilities provided were decent, with a few areas needing attention to upkeep. Overall, the amenities offered were reasonable for the price.

The hotel offers lovely rooms with comfortable beds and a great rain shower, although it was a bit cold in February due to insufficient radiator size. The service was brilliant, especially with pets and the delicious food cooked by the team. The location is excellent for exploring coastal areas but not within walking distance to amenities. The dining experience was top-notch, with a lovely hostess and a good variety of dishes. The facilities are convenient and well-maintained.
